"Youth is the most precious treasure of the Church," said John Paul II of revered memory. Youth are the promise of today and the hope of tomorrow. Youth is that significant stage in the life of a person, when one is formed, reformed and transformed.
Youth is also a turbulent period in life. A multitude of crisis - faith, meaning, values - hovers over the heads and keeps their head swirling chaotically. Youth need friends and guides to inspire, accompany and encourage.
That is where, the Salesians of Don Bosco step in. The Saslesians believe in the inherent goodness of youth. Following the example of their father and founder Don Bosco - the priest-educator of the 19th century, the Salesians offer their lives in service to this most vulnerable and fragile strata of society. "To be signs and bearers of God's love to the young, especially to the poorest and the abandoned" is the motto of the Salesians.
God waits. God knows. God gives. God loves. He has a plan for each of us. Let us embark on the journey of discovery, exploration and youthful adventure.
